A biographer of the late DeForest Kelley, who played Dr. Leonard ("Bones") McCoy in the classic Star Trek television series, will appear at a science fiction convention in Seattle, sources say.
Kristine M. Smith was a friend of the late actor and his wife. Her De Forest Kelley: A Harvest Of Memories details how she came to know Mr. Kelley, who is also known for his work in Westerns.
Mr. Kelley was a much-beloved actor among Trek fans and his character was part of the "Trek triumvirate" of Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, and Dr. McCoy.
Ms. Smith will appear at the Creation convention in Seattle.
