Heard on KNX-AM: The cost of ambulance service in the County of Los Angeles will rise from around $200.00 to between about $600.00 and $800.00 per use. Patients will be billed at this new, higher rate. The funds will be dedicated to improving the provision of such services to the public, according to a County official.
When I heard this, I asked myself: Why? It seems to me that the County has plenty of money to give away to illegal aliens. Shouldn't there be cutbacks in these services before general increases in the price of services used by actual citizens in this County?
