Toronto To Limit Miss Universe Endorsement

Heard on the Al Rantel Show, a syndicated talk radio program:

The city of Toronto, Canada has barred Miss Universe from expressly endorsing the opening of a new business within its borders under its policy preventing the exploitation of the bodies of men and women.

The city said that Miss Universe could open the business but could not be referred to by her affiliation. Instead, references to her would have to be to a "person of note".

Comment: Is the Miss Universe pageant exploitative? I would argue that it is merely a celebration of beauty, and that human beings are capable of appreciating such pulchritude without exploitation.

Besides, has anyone bothered to ask whether Miss Universe feels exploited?
