Senate Leader Criticized For Stem Cell Reversal

U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist's reversal of his opposition to stem cell research has earned him the ire of many conservatives, some of whom consider his decision not only ill-advised, but a betrayal of fundamental pro-life principles.

For example, an associate editor of Christianity Today in an article here called Sen. Frist's position logically and morally incoherent.

In view of the strength of criticism against his reversal, I believe that Sen. Frist owes his supporters a better explanation than he has offered, and he should make clear why his opinion is consistent with claims of being pro-life.
